Speakers:

A long-standing member of AIIC and active contributor to the work of ISO, Veronica Pérez Guarnieri, PhD will provide an overview of ISO standards and interpreting, how AIIC is involved in the development of interpreting standards, the benefits of having a standard and how members can get involved with the process.
    
Maya de Wit, PhD is the appointed project leader of the new to be developed ISO/AWI 17651-4 standard on signed language interpreters' working environment. The standard is the 4th one in a series and focuses on the logistical and technical equipment requirements for the working environments of conference signed language interpreters. Maya will present further information about the process of developing this specific standard with a wide range of stakeholders and experts.

The presentations will be followed by a Q&A moderated by Mark Schofield from AIIC’s Sign Language Network.
