The International Association of Conference Interpreters is a global organisation representing more than 3000 professionals around the world. It is a bilingual non-profit association with its administrative headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland.
We are recruiting a Membership & Support Manager based in Bangkok to manage the office that will be opening there in 2023, to serve our members in Asia-Pacific and other regions. This will include daily tasks and fixed-term projects.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Geneva office and will report directly to the Executive Secretary in Geneva. International travel is required (yearly visit to the headquarters, as well as to the triennial Assembly in 2025 that will be hosted in one of AIIC's region).

Core duties:
  • Manage the Bangkok Office
  • Support applicants through the online application processes
  • Support the members of the Association, its bodies and groups
  • Manage and update the database
  • Publish content on our website
  • Prepare and publish internal and external communications
  • Support AIIC’s groups in their activities
  • Organise internal and external events
  • Organise and participate in the triennial Assembly of members
  • Manage and participate in various projects to sustain the growth of AIIC
  • Liaise with local service providers
  • Train new team members


Qualifications and Skills:

  • Thai national
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification
  • Fluent English and Thai (excellent writing and speaking skills), proficiency in other languages such as Chinese welcome
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar position with an international or global organisation
  • Comfortable with digital environments
  • Perfect command of Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel) and Google Workspace
  • Knowledge of Web languages (HTML – CSS) and websites management desirable

The selected candidate must be available to travel to Geneva, Switzerland, in May or June 2023 for a 4-week training period at AIIC’s Headquarters.
