Professional Experience
Depending on your market and your languages, it can take some time to get the necessary experience and sponsors to apply to become an active member of AIIC.
Pre-candidacy allows committed professional conference interpreters who do not meet the minimum requirements to take part in the life of the Association for up to 5 years.
If you are working as a conference interpreter and have worked fewer than 150 days, you may apply to become a pre-candidate.

Presenters
To become a pre-candidate, collect signatures from 3 active members who attest that you work as a professional conference interpreter. They do not need to have the same language combinations as you and they do not need to be members of the same region.
Professional Standards
All pre-candidate applicants must agree to respect the AIIC Professional Standards and AIIC Code of Professional Ethics .
Application Deadlines
There are 2 application deadlines annually:
