WORDS ARE JUST ONE OF OUR TOOLS

We at AIIC Italia believe that a people's language is like a tree; it has deep ties to its roots, culture and history. And each of our 60 language combinations represents a branch of this centuries-old tree. The world is made up of many worlds and we explore its multiculturality and multiple interactions while respecting the style, flair and aesthetics of each of our languages. The 200 members of AIIC Italia are united by a rigorous deontological, professional and ethical code that also guarantees absolute and total confidentiality.

We are privileged interlocutors of the major Italian, European and world institutions and reference partners of a private market in constant evolution. Our skills are in demand in the most sensitive sectors such as justice, health, politics and finance.

AIIC Italia attaches great importance to the continuing professional development of its members and promotes several upgrading and educational training initiatives in Italy. For this purpose, it is able to use the international network of AIIC trainers. Furthermore, it is involved in the sectors of research, as well as university and advanced level training. AIIC Italia regularly carries out initiatives for the promotion of the profession and the dissemination of culture and linguistic plurality, aimed both at professionals and the general public. It also takes part in initiatives for sign language interpreters, for interpreters working in areas of conflict, in the legal field and for young interpreters.

The association structure consists of a Board of Directors and a number of Commissions that deal with the different areas of activity of the Association.
