Our first regional meeting after the summer break took place on Saturday 18th of September. The meeting was again held online and it was very good to see that this encouraged a particularly good turnout from our colleagues in Ireland. As usual, the agenda was very full: an update by our Regional Chair was followed by reports from all the Bureau members on the various activities and developments over the last few months. Even though some members could not be present in person, in true hybrid mode our Treasurer sent her summary by video clip and reports were read with updates on the EU and UN situation. We also heard an informative presentation on the proposed reform of the membership dues structure. Most of the remaining time was then devoted to putting the finishing touches to the Region’s motions for resolutions on online meetings and AIIC environmental policy to be submitted ahead of the next AIIC Assembly in January 2022.
