On 19 May the UK & Ireland Region held two informal online meetings to update members and hear their views on the current plans for the 2022 AIIC Assembly, which is scheduled to take place from 13 to 16 January in Istanbul. The participants discussed concerns about the unpredictability and volatility of the current health situation and the various implications of the different possible meeting formats. 

The Assembly is AIIC’s supreme statutory body. It normally meets once every three years, but the meeting due to be held in January 2021 was not convened due to the pandemic.
