AIIC Solidarity Fund

Facing a temporary financial squeeze? Looking to support colleagues who are going through a rough patch? The AIIC Solidarity Fund is here to help.

The purpose of the AIIC Solidarity Fund, as stipulated in Article 10 of the Accounting Procedures. is to provide immediate assistance to members of the Association in times of urgent need. In exceptional circumstances, the Executive Committee may propose that assistance also be extended to pre-candidates and candidates for a limited period of time.

Upon request the Fund, which is financed by means of donations, may grant a loan to the applicant, to be repaid once circumstances permit. The Fund is there for you, so do not hesitate to contact the Solidarity Fund Management Committee should you feel in need of support, either by writing directly to one of its members or to solidarity-fund@aiic.net. All requests will be handled with the utmost confidentiality as stipulated by the rules of the afore-mentioned Article 10.

Administrative information

As previously mentioned, all donations are welcome, whatever the amount. Please contact info@aiic.net if you would like the Secretariat to issue a receipt in your name. Many national tax authorities offset such individual donations against annual taxable income. Your tax adviser should be able to guide you through the process.

The Secretariat keeps accurate accounts regarding payments into and out of the Fund. As is the case for all of AIIC’s accounts, the Solidarity Fund account is monitored by the Budget Committee and is audited on an annual basis by our external auditors, in compliance with the Swiss limited audit standard ( Norme suisse relative au contrôle restreint - NCR).
